BaZi traditionally addresses themes such as temperament, career, wealth, marriage, family, and health. In modern practice, it is best utilized as a cultural framework for framing questions, comparing interpretations, and reflecting on life experiences, rather than making decisions for individuals, proving causality, or forecasting fixed events. Any topic should first complete the Ten-Step BaZi Reading Method before practical application.

Distinguish Three Layers Before Application

Temperament and Capability

One can observe Ten Gods combinations, Five Element circulation, and Day Master condition to pose reflective questions such as "Do I lean toward independent execution or collaborative integration?" or "How do expression and structured rules interact?", validating them through actual behavior and peer feedback. Do not treat a Day Master or Ten God as a rigid personality type, nor infer intelligence, moral character, personality disorders, or mental illness from a chart.

Career and Vocation

Officer/Killings, Resource, Food/Hurting, Wealth, and Companions can all participate in career themes. Modern professions require domain expertise, communication, teamwork, compliance, and resource management simultaneously; thus, no reliable list exists mapping "one Ten God to one industry."

Valuable interpretation translates into practical inquiries: What work rhythms are preferred? Under what types of constraints is performance optimal? What trainable skills need development? Career choices must be based on skills, interests, industry data, compensation requirements, geographic realities, and family responsibilities, rather than simplistic charts claiming "Officer-Resource suits government, Food-Hurting suits creative fields."

Wealth and Resources

"Wealth Stars" represent the elements overcome by the Day Master; they do not equal bank balances, assets, or commercial acumen, nor do they guarantee investment returns. Concepts like "Wealth Vaults," "Opening the Vault," or "Arriving Useful Gods" do not prove that a specific year will bring riches. All investment, borrowing, insurance, tax, and partnership decisions must rest on contracts, cash flow analysis, due diligence, and licensed professional advice.

Relationships and Marriage

The Day Branch, Wealth/Officer stars, and combinations/clashes are traditionally referenced in relationship analysis; however, ancient gender-role mappings should not be imported directly into modern partnerships. Synastry (chart compatibility) provides at most a language for discussing differences; it cannot prove a "fated match," fidelity, fertility, or guaranteed compatibility, nor can it replace communication, shared values, safety boundaries, and lived experience.

Health

• In the face of violence, coercive control, fraud, or acute danger, prioritize contacting trusted individuals and local emergency services over waiting for "luck to improve";
• Birth data, charts, reports, and conversations constitute sensitive personal information; verify recipients, scope, and permissions before sharing.

Compatibility and Major Decisions

Compatibility analysis offers at most a traditional perspective on interpersonal dynamics; it must never serve as the sole justification for marriage, divorce, childbearing, employment, relocation, or rejecting a relationship. Luck Cycles and Annual Influences cannot provide deterministic timetables. Major choices should be grounded in personal agency, verifiable facts, cost assessments, legal responsibilities, and real-world support systems.

A Simple Demarcation Line

Responsible guidance explains which chart information is referenced, what alternative interpretations exist, which conclusions cannot be verified, and structures recommendations into concrete, verifiable real-world steps. For example, rather than declaring "a clash in the marriage pillar this year will cause upheaval," suggest reviewing communication frequency, shared finances, living arrangements, and conflict resolution habits; decisions regarding relationships remain entirely with the individuals based on real-world facts.
